What is Alzheimer’s disease-related psychosis?
Alzheimer’s disease-related psychosis refers to behavioral changes that affect the mind beyond memory. This can look like being suspicious or fearful for no reason, making unfounded accusations, strongly believing untrue things such as identity confusion or paranoia.
Does my loved one need a formal diagnosis?
Formal diagnosis requirements vary by trial. Submit a pre-screener to determine eligibility at a site nearest to you.
Can I fill this out as a caregiver?
Yes, caregivers are encouraged to fill out the screener for their loved one. The BMS Alzheimer’s page includes details for caregivers and loved ones. Caregivers may help review the information and support the person with Alzheimer’s disease through the process.
Is PatientsLikeMe running these studies?

Who determines whether someone is eligible?
Eligibility is determined through the BMS prescreening process and, if appropriate, by the study team.
Is participation voluntary?
Yes. Participation in clinical trials is voluntary, and the study team will explain what participation involves before you join.
What happens after I complete the prescreener?
After you complete the prescreening questionnaire, your responses will be reviewed to see
whether you may qualify for one of the clinical studies featured on the below page. If you appear to
be a potential match, you may be contacted for additional prescreening or referred to a
participating study site for further discussion. Not everyone who completes the questionnaire
will qualify for a study.
