At PatientsLikeMe, members should always feel safe and welcome. We are committed to providing a safe space for our members to share their stories without judgement or harassment and we will not tolerate content we’ve determined to be disrespectful or discriminatory. 
 

We don’t allow posts that discriminate against someone based on race, age, gender identity, religion, or sexual orientation. 

Be kind to all. 

Be respectful.  Bullying, personal attacks and hate speech are not permitted. Please don’t use profanity.  

Medical advice 

Sharing your experiences with your health condition is allowed.  Telling others how to treat their health conditions is not.  Our moderators will help if you’re unsure how to share without giving advice.   

Linking & Solicitation 

Soliciting members for money, research, or other personal or commercial interests is not allowed.  Linking to sources where you have a personal interest or stand to gain from is not allowed.  Learn more here. 

Respect Confidentiality 

Please don’t share member information outside of PatientsLikeMe 

We reserve the right to remove any posts that we feel violate any of the above policies and we reserve the right to change our policies at any time without notice.  Those who don’t adhere to the guidelines set forth here and in the user agreement will face suspension or removal from PatientsLikeMe.
