Policy on linking and solicitation

Direct or indirect solicitation is not permitted on PatientsLikeMe. This includes but is not limited to: 

1. Posts that solicit, promote or sell a product, website, or service that the author receives any benefit from. Questionable threads and posts will be removed without warning.

Examples:

• Is anyone interested in learning about essential oils?
• Has anyone here ever tried protandim? My ALS is cured!
• Message me if you'd like to learn more about how to get off medications and get your life back.
• If you’d like to join a lawsuit against XYX company, please reply here or send me a message
• Please fill out this survey for my school project, or PM me to join a research study.

2. Private messaging members for solicitation or sales will not be permitted. Messages will be deleted, and the soliciting member will be either temporarily or permanently suspended from the site.
   
   
3. GoFundMe or similar page shares will not be allowed and will be removed.
   
   
4. Advertising of any kind will not be permitted.

Personal blogs can be linked when labeled appropriately.  Personal, non-commercial blogs can be shared in the groups and discussions with the subject “External Blog Post: Your title here”. PatientsLikeMe is not responsible for the content of linked blogs.
