Why should I document my symptoms?
Keeping a record of what you are feeling and changes in your body’s function is important for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. Tracking your symptoms each day using PatientsLikeMe can help you monitor the severity of your condition, identify patterns, and provide you with feedback to share with your medical professional.
How do I add a new symptom?
- Click the HOME page
- Click the LEARN tab
- Click Symptoms
- Type the name in the search box (as shown below)
- Select the symptom
- Click add this to your profile

How do I track a symptom?
- Click the HOME page
- Click the LEARN tab
- Click Symptoms
- Click Update my symptoms
- Click the [+] button next to a listed symptom
- Choose from one of the available options as shown below:
From here, you can update multiple symptoms by clicking Update all symptoms and choosing a date.
How do I stop tracking a symptom in my history and MonthlyMe check-in?
- Click the symptom
- Scroll to the bottom of your symptom history
- Click stop tracking this symptom
*When a new condition or treatment gets added, commonly reported symptoms will be added for you to monitor in your symptom history and MonthlyMe check-in
How do I delete a symptom?
- Click the symptom
- Scroll to the bottom of your symptom history
- Click permanently delete this symptom history
Once you choose to stop tracking a symptom, it will now show in My Symptoms. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find previously monitored conditions. If you choose to permanently delete a symptom history, it will NOT appear in your list of previously monitored conditions.
