PatientsLikeMe has the ability to integrate your medical data from your care providers, allowing you to automatically fill out your health profile with more accuracy. You'll get a better understanding of your whole health picture and be able to better utilize PLM’s My Health Dashboard. Integrating your health data in one place will provide more insights that can help improve your health.
Not only that, but you’ll also get to decide how and with whom you'd like to share your data with our updated Privacy Settings. You can learn more about privacy updates with our Data Linking FAQs here. (Please note that electronic health data integration is not available for all members at this time.)
To start integrating your electronic health records, click Account at the top of any page. Then, head to Data & Device Linking from the menu on the left.
Click “Add an account.” Select the patient portal your healthcare provider uses.
*Please note that you’ll need to have an online account with your healthcare provider to link to PLM. If you haven't set up an account online with your healthcare provider, please contact their office for more information on logging into their patient portal.
From there, you’ll be taken through the authorization process to connect with your healthcare provider’s patient portal. Once authorized, you'll see the loading screen while your EHR data is linked. This may take several moments before you are automatically taken back to PLM.
Now that you’ve linked your account, you can decide what health data you would like to import, and whether you want to share it with the community.
When you are ready, click “Looks good, import.” Once complete, you can continue linking to your other providers. If you need to unlink your accounts, you can do so from this page as well.
You can adjust your privacy settings anytime from the Account menu.
Choose “I want to control what data is shared.” to decide what you’d like to keep personal or share with the community. Be sure to click the “Update” button after making any changes!
